David Galper is a business owner and entrepreneur from Brookline, Massachusetts. Having launched multiple start-ups throughout his career, David is familiar with growing and developing businesses. He previously served as president and founder of two start-ups in the technology space and then went on to launch his own venture in 2003. David Galper along with Vince Han co-founded the Ruckus Network, a service that gave college students the opportunity to legally download music from their digital entertainment and social networking site. The two local Massachusetts entrepreneurs seized an opportunity in the download space to reach the large college student demographic.
Galper’s experience also spreads into marketing, corporate development and consulting after working for Arthur D. Little and serving on the Ruckus Board of Directors. While in these positions, David spearheaded projects that included the overseeing of marketing and management, licensing of content, strategic partnerships and business development. He was also able to negotiate agreements, complete market research and collaborate with research and development teams.
David Galper gained much of his development experience as the Director of Business Development for Idealab, one of the leading tech incubators. He graduated with an undergraduate degree in economics and environmental studies from Brandeis University and an Masters in Business Administration from the MIT Sloan School of Management. David Galper currently resides in Brookline, Massachusetts and spends his spare time playing hockey and watching the Boston Red Sox.
